As a project engineer you are accountable for delivery in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, cost estimates and safety requirements of the project. You provide technical support for engineering, testing, installation and commissioning activities with good knowledge of Electrical Control Systems and Power Management Solutions.

In this role, you work close with the project management team, the project engineering team, suppliers and customers. We believe you have a commercial awareness, enjoy teamwork and play others good. You are eager to learn and develop yourself and your colleagues.

The position is located at Fornebu, Oslo. Some travel must be expected. Permanent residence and work permit in Norway is a requirement.

Your responsibilities

• Aiding contract managers with claims related to changes in the project scope, including assessing cost and time impacts, as well as risk quantifications
• Providing technical details, costs and deliverables for sales proposals, while assisting project managers in technical reviews and discussions with customers and others
• Creating and delivering work plans, resource requirements, proposals, engineering estimates, and risk and opportunity analyses
• Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by offering dialogue and excellent service at all times
• Working and networking with engineering colleagues, disseminating best practices
• Overseeing new subcontracts and assisting the supply chain in managing subcontractor

Your background

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. or equivalent in Electrical or Automation/Control engineering
• English fluent, verbal and written
• Interest for installation, commissioning/ and service-maintenance work at customer site
• Knowledge of MS Windows and network topology and components
• Good knowhow of Electrical Control Solutions and Power Management Systems considered as an advantage
• Experience in electrical control networks (including IEC 61850), electrical systems and its protections (IEDs) on low and medium voltage considered as an advantage
• Good to have knowledge in Marine, Oil and Gas, or Land based industry
