Your Role

The Renewables & Utilities team which is responsible for developing and managing the product portfolio towards these markets is now looking for a Product Manager for our Power Grid product – Kognitwin Grid. The grid industry is at the heart of the energy system, and you can now be a part of accelerating the much-needed transition.

Your main responsibility will be nothing short of extraordinary:

  • Leverage your experience in the power grid industry to influence the direction of our software in both short-term and long-term decisions.
  • Be the ‘Voice of the Customer’ and collaborate with broader product team to address their requirements against the product roadmap.
  • Discover and deep dive into customer pain points, and support in developing business cases for how Kongsberg Digital can solve these problems in the best way.
  • Recommend strategies to optimize the direction of Kongsberg Digital’s software development.
  • Work close with the commercial team and the software development team to ensure technical solutions meets customer’s expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with the software development team to provide feedback, market insights, and suggestions for product enhancements.
  • Keeping up to date on trends in the energy industry and the implications this will have for Kongsberg Digital and our customers.

Having a background and experience in the power grid industry would be incredibly valuable:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience from working with either electric transmission or distribution, for example within a TSO/DSO, in consulting or from the software side.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the power grid industry through for example work experience covering topics such as maintenance, grid operations, power system analysis or similar.
  • Ability to understand challenges TSOs/DSOs face and together with the software development team analyse complex problems to come up with solutions for how Kongsberg Digital’s software offerings can meet the needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and the software development team.
